During a falconry experience you will see a mixture of birds. It varies due to training, moulting and their flying weight. We fly falcons, Caracaras, eagles, hawks and owls. If you want to see a specific bird please let us know when you book and we will do our very best to arrange for it to be available, if we can.
Do you still run events in light rain?
We will still run our activities in light rain. In heavy rain we will not be able to fly the birds as it affects their flying and your enjoyment. Targets will continue in light rain also, however, storms, heavy rain and snow we will postpone. All activities are outdoors.
What should I wear when attending a falconry or target experience day?
We always recommend you dress for all weathers. Bring a rain jacket and wear layers so you can keep warm or if the weather is warm you can remove a layer. We can never guarantee the weather but we can guarantee you will have more fun if you are warm and dry.
Please wear supportive flat waterproof shoes suitable for uneven terrain and mud. Our activities take place in the woods, on grass lawns and in fields.

We can arrange a private party for children and adults to include falconry and target experiences, depending on age and your requirement.
Get in contact and tell us what you need and we will help you.

We strongly recommend sturdy supportive flat shoes. If the weather has been wet we suggest making sure your shoes are also waterproof. The terrain can be uneven and rough in places so no heeled or open toe shoes should be worn.
Do your birds eat meat?
All our birds are carnivores and are fed meat. During our falconry displays we will be feeding the birds fresh meat to reward them.
How long are the vouchers valid for?
We offer 12 months on all our vouchers to ensure you have plenty of time to book your experience with us and enjoy a great day out.
Please note; we plan to allow the birds to moult from October 2025 until February 2026, no experiences will be held during this time. Experiences in 2025, will start from 3rd Jan 2025 and end 3rd November 2025. If you do not redeem your voucher in that time, we cannot guarantee and extension, it will be none and void.
Is there much walking involved?
For the all the activities you will be required to walk from the car park to either the aviaries or woodlands, it is a flat walk.
In the Falconry experiences, we do take the birds on a walk around the moors, if you are limited in mobility, please let us know in advance and we will tailor your experience to ensure limited walking and seating.
Target Experiences, due to the nature of Field Archery, we will be walking around uneven terrain, we can support some wheelchair access with support/lifting and we aim in the future to bring a walkway to the woodlands to be more inclusive. However, at this time, it is full of roots, rabbit holes and leaves. The woodlands is flat. Please ring to discuss.
